Hensel & Associates was established in 1984 to serve the steel construction industry in design and detailing of structural and miscellaneous steel. Services include mill orders, field checking, consultation for A/E firms, with BIM support, plans, trade coordination for all the buildings steel components, and steel shop drawings.

Beginning in 1990, after obtaining his license to practice architecture, the firm expanded its services to provide projects with complete architecture services.
The many projects completed to date have ranged from small additions, homes, and municipalities, to multi-tenant office and retail, large industrial complexes and apartment complexes.
